We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an interest in deep learning and {biomedical signal processing and/or video processing} to join Taebi Lab at Mississippi State University. Our lab will open its doors in August 2021 and will focus on developing early diagnosis methods and personalized treatments for different types of cardiovascular diseases and cancer. The initial appointment will be for one year starting Fall 2021 or Spring 2022 and can be renewed upon the availability of funding and mutual agreement.
Applicants should have a doctoral degree in computer science, electrical engineering, or computer engineering. Expertise in deep learning, {signal processing and/or image processing, and computer vision} is required. Knowledge of acoustic signal processing is preferred. The successful applicant will work with the Departments of Agricultural and Biological Engineering to develop image-based medical decision-making solutions. Specifically, the project aims at developing novel methods for earlier detection of cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases. This position requires communication and interaction with our medical collaborators.
