Research Project

Monitoring of heart activity using noninvasive measurements of heart-induced vibrations on the chest surface

Muneebah Umar joined our team as a freshman. She was majoring in biological sciences with a pre-medicine concentration. She was enrolled in the Shackouls Honors College and was a recipient of the Ottilie Schillig Leadership Presidential Endowed Scholarship. She was a member of Student Association and Aspiring Young Minorities in Healthcare. Her research interests included cardiovascular disease (CVD) and medical anthropology. Her goal was to become a physician and improve healthcare quality, especially among marginalized communities.
